Over 35 years' experience across the US and European global food industries. Patrick has built businesses in the USA, Europe and Asia, and created national programmes for leading food retailers and major hotel groups including Whole Foods, Four Seasons, Hyatt and Ritz Carlton. In 2003 he launched the first and largest organic seafood programme from Ireland to the USA. In 2008 he co-founded Ocean Harvest Technology, a European/Asia seaweed science company, and authored the first global seaweed-based patents eradicating synthetic antibiotics in animal health. Pure Sea Nutrients was founded in 2017 to bring unique, organic seaweed-based formulas to human health. Patrick is Founder, CEO and majority shareholder, with all Pure Sea Nutrients formulations now at market launch in 2026.

Edward Martin

Co-Founder, Pure Sea Nutrients

Edward Martin is the Co-Founder of Pure Sea Nutrients, with a career spanning more than fifteen years at the forefront of the global seaweed industry. In 2009 he relocated to Ireland to establish Ocean Harvest Technology's facility on the West Coast, and quickly established an international presence at OHT's facility in Ho Chi Minh. He subsequently moved into the health and wellness sector, leading market research into seaweed extracts within the FMCG space and validating commercial opportunities at the intersection of nutrition science and consumer demand. From Pure Sea's inception, Edward co-developed its human nutrition formulas, secured the raw material supply chain, established manufacturing partnerships, and oversaw the end-to-end creation of the Pure Oceans product line — bringing a science-led functional beverage to market across the UK, European and US markets.

Operating since 2009 from London with offices across North America, China, India and Africa, Pilot Lite partners with businesses in food and beverage, consumer goods, healthcare and pharmaceuticals. They are the team behind landmark ventures including the Pulpex paper bottle, developed with Diageo and adopted by PepsiCo, Unilever and Estée Lauder.
